Organizations & Collaboration
Everything about working with other people happens at the Organization level, managed from Settings → Organization.
Roles
Every member of an Organization has one of three roles:
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything an admin can, plus delete the Organization. Every Organization has at least one. |
| Admin | Invite/remove members, change member roles, edit the Organization's name and logo. |
| Member | Full read/write access to the Organization's Spaces, Locations, Items, and catalog — just not member/org management. |
The members list itself (name, email, role) is visible to everyone in the Organization, not only owners and admins.

Inviting people
There are two independent ways to bring someone into your Organization:
Email invite — an owner or admin enters an email address and a role (admin or member). The invite is sent by email and also shown as a copyable link, so it can be shared through any channel you prefer. It expires after 7 days if unused. If the invited person doesn't have an account yet, the link routes them through signup with that email already filled in and locked, then automatically completes the invitation once they finish signing up.
Join link/code — a single rotating link per Organization that anyone can use to join instantly as a member, no per-person invite or approval needed. Useful for a whole team or club joining at once. An owner or admin can regenerate it (invalidating the old link) or revoke it entirely from the Organization settings page at any time.

Managing members
Owners and admins can remove a member or change their role at any time. Promoting another member to owner is how ownership transfers — there's no separate "transfer ownership" wizard, it's the same role-change control used for any other promotion. An Organization can never be left without at least one owner; the app blocks removing or demoting the last remaining owner and explains why.
Any member can leave an Organization themselves (subject to that same "not the last owner" rule).
Creating another Organization
You're not limited to one Organization. Create a new one from Settings → Organization at any time — useful if you want to keep, say, a personal inventory and a club's shared inventory completely separate. Once you belong to more than one, an organization switcher appears in the sidebar to move between them; everything you see in the app is always scoped to whichever one is currently active.
Deleting an Organization
Owner-only, and deliberately hard to do by accident: you must type the Organization's exact name to enable the delete button, alongside an explicit warning that this permanently destroys everything inside it — every Space, Location, Item, and catalog entry, with no recovery.
